My last post brought me back to a conversation that kept coming up between me and my friend at this year’s bonnaroo. We were discussing the “superjam” they have every year, and were coming up with ideas for the best musicians (living or dead) to play together. Our favorite involved Battles’ John Stanier, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, and The Band’s Garth Hudson. I want to start a discussion on the topic so leave comments about who you think would compose the best superjam. Keep the discussion going . . .
I thought this was bound to happen, since they have all been on eachother’s songs and such, but apparently it actually is. M. Ward (solo artist, She & Him), Jim James (My Morning Jacket), and Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes and now Solo) are apparently recording some tunes together according to Rolling Stone. Should be amazing. Bright M.orning Jacket!

One Day As a Lion is the name ZDL and new bandmate, ex-Mars Volta machine of a drummer, John Theodore will go by. If you have listened to Deloused in the Comatorium or saw the Mars Volta live while he was with them, you know what I mean when I refer to Theodore as a machine, for the man is certainly not a human being. Their self-titled EP is due out July 22nd and the track listing is as follows:
01 Wild International
02 Ocean View
03 Last Letter
04 If You Fear Dying
05 One Day as a Lion
