Well, I’m off to Bonnaroo today, so no updates for a while. Upon my return I will try to have in depth comments about different performances I attend including pictures. Keep on Musicing.

Beck Plays Secret Show: Plays 5 New Songs

Looks like Beck is doing a little unveiling of new material as well. For his new album, “Modern Guilt,” Mr. Hanson performed yet another secret show at The Echo in LA. The Dangermouse produced album will be released any day now via that new method of just shelling it out online (see NIN’s “The Slip,” Radiohead’s “In Rainbows,” etc), however I don’t think it will be a freebie.

Yet another album stream . . .

It seems to be quite the trend for bands these days to stream their albums prior to their release, don’t ask me why? At this point I do not know how anything the record business does can save it from its unfortunate, yet, ultimate demise . . . however, the Hold Steady have jumped on the bandwagon. You can listen to their new album “Stay Positive” on their myspace. sounds good so far!
